I have been thinking alot lately about how to protect my pictures,our full identity,location,etc. I have read a couple of blogs recently that ended up getting rid of all their pictures because of perverts stealing them…even flickr hasn’t protected some of them.So here are some of my thoughts.I could make the whole blog go private…Or I could switch to wordpress.If I use wordpress I could make the picture posts private.I could even talk about some of the things I don’t on here.The reason I don’t talk about them more are because of the safety issues.If you have left comments or we have emailed etc. you can email me and I will tell you some of the things going on and why I am reacting this way.Like I said before our safety is the most important thing to me.So give me your thoughts.

I have my flickr set to private, if I dont know you can see it. I hate that it gets like that. On wordpress, you can wordprotect post, and you can also monitor your stats, and find out where people are coming from to your site. Gives you some more control. I will follow reading if you let me.

I agree with Heather. I’m a total wordpress convert after seeing all the benefits. It takes a little getting used to, especially with posting pictures, but I really like it.

I wish I had some advice for you, but I’m horrible with worrying about protecting stuff. I wish I were better but to be honest aside from not posting pics of my kids much and also not giving my exact location and my last name out, I’m not overly controlling of the rest of the privacy stuff. I do check my sitemeter a lot though to see who’s reading my blog. I’ve never had an issue with worrying about privacy or felt unsafe though. Hope everything works out with setting up a site you can share more. I’d love to keep reading! I promise I’m mostly normal. ;0
