Dear Braidi,

wow five today lil man..no longer a baby or preschooler.It’s a hard number for any mommy.You grow so much everyday and everyday it is a new adventure with you in our lives.The lil glint that spells trouble is still in your eyes and we wouldnt change a thing.Your our silly child,quick to smile and share your dimples,and quick to conspire with your brother over ways to make everyone laugh.You are still such a cuddely lil boy and still want to be on your mommas lap.You amaze me everyday with your games of pretend and the things you build with your blocks.We love you lil man try to slow down ok?As mommy types this the tears roll down my face over how fast you are growing and how blessed we are to have you.Happy Birthday Braidi xoxo…

Whats in your wash?

It’s funny when your by yourself you quickly figure out to make sure not wash that favorite lip gloss or maybe the spare cash and your liscense from a night out…Then you move in with someone and quickly figure out their quirks..for me its been blue chalk from the pool table..thanks hon lol atleast I quickly learned from that.Then you have boys and it just keeps getting interesting pet rocks,and stuff from the tackle boxes,trucks,flowers,crackers atleast I havent found a worm yet….lol but it does bring a smile to my face looking in lil pockets and seeing what they treasured that day…

A hard dose of reality……

Today marks one year since our friend passed…not a day goes bye that we dont remember something from our time with him.I mailed a card to his parents letting them know we are always thinking of them and cried.A parent has lost a child.The bad thing is it happens everyday.Everyday somewhere a parents is burying a child,and that sucks…it doesnt matter if its minutes you spend with them,hours,days,weeks,years a parent shouldnt have to bury their child..but it happens so the only thing I can say is live each day to the fullest,cherish every second like it will be the last because you just never know…..

Happy Mothers Day….

Happy Mothers Day ladies…to all the moms and moms by heart because thats where your babies will always be deep within your hearts.

Before I was a Mom,
I never tripped over toys
or forgot words to a lullaby.
I didn’t worry whether or not
my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.

Before I was a Mom,
I had never been puked on.
Pooped on.
Chewed on.
Peed on.
I had complete control of my mind
and my thoughts.
I slept all night.

Before I was a Mom,
I never held down a screaming child
so doctors could do tests.
Or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night
watching a baby sleep.

Before I was a Mom,
I never held a sleeping baby just because
I didn’t want to put her down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces
when I couldn’t stop the hurt.
I never knew that something so small
could affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew I would love being a Mom.

Before I was a Mom,
I didn’t know the feeling of
having my heart outside my body..
I didn’t know how special it could feel
to feed a hungry baby.
I didn’t know that bond
between a mother and her child.
I didn’t know that something so small
could make me feel so important and happy.

Before I was a Mom,
I had never gotten up in the middle of the night
every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth,
the joy,
the love,
the heartache,
the wonderment
or the satisfaction of being a Mom.
I didn’t know I was capable of feeling so much,
before I was a Mom .

thankyou boys for making me your mommy.I love you more than words can ever say.

Its time for the Braidi show…

Is it just me or is to much emphasis placed on women and their bodies.All of us are different shapes and sizes.I dont care that Jessica Simpson put on a few pounds.And that should be the big news for a week on the computer?Everday give me a break.Instead of hunger,abuse,drugs,national debt lets worry about a star gaining a few.They are people like us.Imagine how that makes them feel.Some people need to get a life…

I’ve changed my mind…

we always tell the boys to share.So they share everything…and I mean everything.Now thanks to my great parenting skills they are sharing bronchitis..they each get a breathing treatment 3x a day and on meds..and they decided sharing it between themselves wasn’t enough..no they thought they would share with mom and dad..thanks boys.Glad you listened to me for once lol…Have I mentioned the ice and snow..yes so bad school has been out all week.Hubby was feeling so crappy that he stayed home and the kiddos and I headed to the Dr’s.Going down our hill was easy.Coming up our hill and getting back to the house is another story.I called J and told him I WAS STUCK ON OUR HILL…As in sliding backwards down the hill giving her gas meant sliding sideways on the ice and drifting backwards DOWN THE HILL….So he came running to my rescue after backing the car down the hill twice we finally made it up to our driveway sideways…yes I love this weather…ugh anybody want some houseguests?lol

I am in a slump…

We are snow and ice bound…oh fun let me tell ya.Tristin hasnt had school all week and its alreay cancelled tomorrow.I am ready for spring.And I have a goal set for this summer…I am going to try going to the pool 2x a week with the kids..hopeful I can do it.The possibility of being home all summer makes me want to cry.We are still waiting on disab*lity.J and I are back on track again what doesnt kill us only makes us stronger.Anyways off to relax and continue sitting in my slump…
